BANTU CONFIRMS FORMER VICE PRESIDENT DEATH

Maseru, Aug. 08— Bantu FC has confirmed the death of its former third Vice President, Mr. Phiri Panyane.

The team’s Communications and Marketing Manager, Mr. Pule Mosoatsi said the details surrounding Panyane’s death are still blurry but it can be confirmed that he had an argument with a friend who then shot him on Tuesday.

In June 2022, Panyane was re-elected third Vice President alongside Ts’eliso Ramatla and Tefo Rabolinyane under the chairmanship of Mr. John Leuta.

Panyane’s family has also confirmed the news of his death but could also not give details yet.

Panyane was re-elected after his resignation from the executive committee, allegedly due to his fall out with Leuta, although at the time, they both denied the allegations of bad blood between them.
