LESOTHO CELEBRATES 200 YEARS: AUGUST DEDICATED TO ADDRESSING FOOD, NUTRITION SECURITY

Qacha’s Nek, Aug.06 — Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Nutrition (MAFSN) has designated August to celebrate 200 years of Basotho since the nation was founded by King Moshoeshoe. 

MAFSN will commemorate this milestone with several activities, including a breastfeeding week celebration at Mosafeleng on Friday, August 9, an agricultural dialogue on August 21, and a food month celebration on August 29.

The celebration has a theme focused on various aspects essential for achieving successful food and nutrition security for the nation: “Breaking the Pots of Hunger from Poverty: Zero Granary.” . . .
