Maseru, Aug. 02 — The National Assembly adjourned until Wednesday to allow Parliamentarians attend a two-day workshop on the 10th and 11th Amendment to the Constitution Bills.
Therefore, Motion 118 regarding the short adjournment moved without notice under Standing Order 32. Speaking on it, the Deputy Prime Minister and Leader of the House, Justice Nthomeng Majara appealed to Parliamentarians to attend the sensitisation workshop seeking to deliberate on the 10th and 11th Amendment to the Constitution Bills.
She was seconded by the Minister of Natural Resources, Mr. Mohlomi Moleko who highlighted the importance of the upcoming workshop in relation to executing service delivery mandate.
On the contrary, another Parliamentarian and Leader of Basotho Patriotic Party (BPP) Mr. Tefo Mapesela said although he supports the upcoming workshop fully, the Leader of the House must ensure talks between government and Leader of Opposition prior as such has been the initial plan.
