CASH FOR WORK REGISTRATION CONTINUES

Maseru, Jun 27 — With a number of factories having closed down around Thetsane that resulted in high  unemployment rate especially within Tsolo constituency as it is mostly populated by factory workers.

This the Agency discovered on Friday as most former factories flocked to and gathered at Lifefo playground to register for the cash for work project, an initiative by the government to intervene to food insecurity in the country.

Over 700 men and women most of whom are former factory workers queued for half a day to have their names penned down.

They commended the government for the initiative saying that it is not much but at least it will make a difference especially as they sometimes go days without food.
