POOR ACCESSIBILITY TO MASALENG AFFECT DEVELOPMENT

Berea, June 12 — Poor road connectivity from Sefikeng to Masaleng community in Motanasela Community Council remains the major contributing factor affecting development within the area.

When speaking to LENA, Maseleng Electoral Division (ED) Community Councilor Mrs. Matumelo Nthako said most of their services such as police, Council, Social Development and others are found at Sefikeng, but for them to access such place remains a struggle due to poor road conditions.

Mrs. Nthako said although everyone is affected by the poor condition of such roads to Sefikeng, pregnant women, patients and elderly people are the worst affected because public transport operators have suspended their service, hence people are forced to walk such long distances.

She said some decades ago when such a road was made and left unfinished by the Council, their intention was to see it reach at least Ha Matholoana because it has many services centered around that place like health centers, schools and churches.
