Maseru, Jan. 15. — A case in which some army members are accused of killing three men at Mafeteng in 2012 was on Monday postponed due to unavailability of the prosecutor in the matter.
A lawyer who introduced himself as Advocate Thibinyane told the court that he was asked by the prosecutor Adv. Mosoeunyane Masiphole to appear on his behalf and request for a postponement as he is not feeling well.
A presiding judge Justice Polo Banyane questioned the appearance of Adv. Thibinyane. She stated that proper procedure was not followed in order for him to appear before the court. She asked on whose authority did Adv. Masiphole send Adv. Thibinyane to court. She said he should have talked to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) who gave him a brief, to send someone to stand in for him. . .
