LESOTHO’S EDUCATION SAID TO NEED RESTRUCTURING

Maseru, Oct.26 –There is a notably high gap in the country’s curriculum in terms of Mathematics between high schools and institutions of higher learning.

This was said by Mr. Jane Mabesa from the National University of Lesotho.

Speaking to the Agency in an interview, Mr. Mabesa said that there is a noticeably high rate of best performing students in high schools coming into tertiary institutions but to fail drastically in Mathematics.

He said that this shows that there is a need for a collaboration between institutions of higher learning and the ministry of education and training on finding alternatives on how such a matter can be addressed.
